In 2025, there will be a state certification of scientific institutions and higher education establishments in terms of their scientific (scientific and technical) activities over the previous five years. The National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’ is undergoing certification in three areas, namely: engineering and technology, natural sciences and mathematics, and security.
According to the results of the state certification in the areas of ‘Engineering and Technology’ and ‘Natural Sciences and Mathematics,’ which were summarised in Odesa on 2 October, Kharkiv Polytechnic has gained a leading position among higher education institutions. At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Denys Kurbatov presented the head of the research department, Professor Ruslan Kryvobok, with certificates of state certification for NTU ‘KhPI’.
According to official data from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, NTU ‘KhPI’ received an ‘A’ rating in the field of engineering and technology, taking first place among 78 higher education institutions in Ukraine that were certified in this field.

In the natural sciences and mathematics category, NTU ‘KhPI’ entered the top 5 among 56 universities that participated in the certification.

🔸Lviv Polytechnic National University
🔸Sumy State University
🔸Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute National Technical University
These achievements testify to the university’s high scientific and educational potential, in particular, the effectiveness of the research activities of the structural units of natural and engineering disciplines, which were able to demonstrate significant results in competition with other leading universities in the country.
NTU ‘KhPI’ is preparing to use this momentum to further strengthen its position, attract new scientific projects, international grants and partnerships, as well as improve the quality of training students in the fields of natural and technical sciences.
