Centres for commercialisation and technology transfer of scientific developments
Two centres for commercialisation of scientific and technical developments have been established in NTU “KhPI” in order to effectively use intellectual and creative potential, provide modern methods of managing activities in the field of intellectual property:
– Centre for Commercialisation of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer;
– Technology Transfer Centre.
The activities of the Centre for Commercialisation of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer are provided on a voluntary basis by specialists of the Research and Development Department (Patent and Licensing Agency), the Department of Informatics and Intellectual Property (Research Laboratory of Intellectual Property and Innovative Entrepreneurship, Bureau of Information and Analytical Support and Innovation Planning, Bureau of Intellectual Property Valuation, Centre for Consultations and Training on Intellectual Property and Innovative Entrepreneurship) and the Department of Project Management.
The Technology Transfer Centre was created with the participation of the North-Eastern Scientific Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, the NGO “Agency for International Cooperation”, the association “Kharkiv Marketing Centre”, LLC “Kharkiv Regional Investment Centre”, and the Small Business Development Centre “Kharkiv Technologies”.
The main goal of the Technology Transfer Centre is to develop and implement an effective mechanism for transferring ready-to-use domestic and foreign high technologies into production.
