The event took place online from 7 to 11 October 2024 at the National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’, which was made possible thanks to the support of the international scientific community, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the IEEE Ukrainian Section. More than 200 papers were submitted to the conference by 213 participants from all over the world.
This year, the conference received an ISSN, which emphasises its scientific status and impact on the development of engineering science.
Participants presented innovative research in the following areas:

– Industrial electronics;
– Energy systems;
– Biomedical engineering;
– Micro- and nanotechnology;
– Computational intelligence;
– Technology and engineering management;
– Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation;
The Section ‘Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation’ was founded in 2024 on the basis of the Educational and Research Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering. Its goal is to research innovative technologies of dielectric materials for various industries.
The relevance of the new section lies in the fact that, despite the variety of existing dielectric materials, they cannot always be interchangeable. The choice of dielectric depends on the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, environmental friendliness, and physical and mechanical characteristics of the materials. Electrical insulation, mechanical, thermal and other physical and chemical properties are important, allowing materials to meet the requirements of modern scientific and technological progress.
The conference participants represented 15 countries: Ukraine, Poland, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Israel, India, France, Spain, Germany, Jordan, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Pakistan, Sweden, and Italy.
Even in difficult times, Ukrainian scientists are actively developing science, collaborating with international colleagues and making a significant contribution to global scientific progress. The dedication, endurance and professionalism of the participants is a symbol of the resilience of science in the face of difficulties.
The conference highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research, international cooperation and became an important platform for the exchange of experience and development of new technological solutions in various fields to meet the needs of modern technologies.
