On 24 January 2025, on International Education Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy inaugurated the First National Forum of Talented Youth, bringing together more than 400 young scientists from across the country. This significant event was a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Ukrainian scientists working at the forefront of science and technology.
In the framework of the forum, the Head of State presented more than 50 honorary badges of the Presidential Award for Young Scientists. This prestigious award covers a wide range of fields of science, including digital technologies, innovations, physics, chemistry, mechanics, construction, medicine, ecology, history and law. It is not only a recognition of the work of talented scientists, but also an incentive for further scientific achievements.
Congratulations to our winners – young scientists of NTU ‘KhPI’!
Among the winners of the Presidential Award of Ukraine in 2024 are scientists of the National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’. They received the award for their scientific work on ‘Functional micromaterials and layered nanostructured systems as promising protective elements for nuclear/thermonuclear energy’. This is an important contribution to the development of scientific research in the energy sector, which can be of great importance for the future of nuclear power.

– Kseniia Minakova -PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Professor of the Micro-and Nanoelectronics Department ;
– Leonid Konotopsky – PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physics of Metals and Semiconductors;
– Serhiy Surovitskiy– Junior Researcher at the Department of Physics of Metals and Semiconductors.
This is a great achievement for the university and its research team. The Presidential Award is the result of many years of work, dedication to science and innovation, and we are sincerely proud of our talented scientists!
